Edge

Edge is the difference between an analyst's probability estimate and the market's margin-adjusted probability for the same outcome. Because the market's estimate aggregates the information of everyone transacting in it, a persistent edge requires either information the market lacks or a structural reason the market is slow. Both are rarer than they appear.
